The goal of the Raga Ranjani School of Music is to promote the study and appreciation of Indian classical Music in Southern California, through quality instruction in instrumental, percussion, and vocal music. The school is serving as a vehicle for bringing to Southern California world class artists for workshops, lectures, demonstrations, and concerts. The Raga Ranjani School of Music offers lessons in: Harmonium; Vocal Classical, Light Music / Voice Training; Sitar / Surbahar; Tabla and most other instruments if you know the basics. Fees are paid in advance every month. Classes are weekly. The Raga Ranjani School of Music is the main center of Institute of Indian Classical Music in the USA and is registered to conduct examinations in music in order to help students obtain diplomas equivalent to Intermediate and Bachelor's degree.The teachers hold master's degree in the field of Hindustani classical music. Also in world music (Ethnomusicology). Performing globally for at least 4 decades and Teaching at the Raga Ranjani school for last 33 years. We have been conducting music exams for last 12 years under institutions from India, at present under Indian Govt. registered Trust. IICM (Institute of Indian Classical Music).

Smt. Pramila Hariharan started learning Bharatanatyam at the age of 7 from Guru Smt. Girija Murugan. After completing the Arangetram in the year 1998, her teaching journey began. She started working as Bharatanatyam teacher in multiple schools and institutes. She started her own dance school in 2002 and successfully completed years of teaching. She had her students perform in temples and cultural events. Under the guidance of Guru Kalaimamani Dr Lakshmi Ramasamy who is a senior disciple of Padma Shri Smt. Chitra Visweswaran, she gave Solo and Group performances. Smt. Pramila Hariharan holds M.A. (Bharatanatyam) from the University of Madras. Her learning journey continues in Sri Mudhraalaya dance institute owned by her Guru. Kalaimamani Dr Lakshmi Ramasamy. She continued exploring western dance form (Ballet), Pilates and Yoga. Completed her Yoga certification courses to become a Certified Yoga Instructor. Preserving a dance tradition over 35 years! Dr. Malini Krishnamurthi is the Artistic Director of the Natyanjali School of Dance in West Covina, Upland and Chino Hills, California. An exponent in Bharata Natyam, Malini is an acclaimed performer with many noteworthy performances to her credit in the U.S. India and Europe. Malini is regarded as a superb choreographer and an exceptional teacher who has transformed many young children into passionate and superb dancers. Malini’s students are testimonials of her ability as a meticulous teacher. In recognition of her contribution to the local community, the Hindu Temple Society of Southern California has awarded her the title of ‘Asthaana Vidushi’ which means ‘community’s scholar.’ Malini was initiated in this art at an early age and has trained intensively for several decades under Kalaimamani Guru Sri.
