Bharatanatyam Dance Class in Los Angeles, CA

Kalaasmi Academy provides lessons for Indian Classical Music(Hindustani style) and Bharatnatyam for all ages. Sayali Pendse, of Kalaasmi Academy, is classically trained Hindustani Vocalist and Bharatnatyam dancer from India. She has completed Visharad degree in Bharatnatyam as well as Hindustani Music with First class. She has completed her Arangetram in 2010. Under the guidance of Mrs. Swati Daithankar(Bharatnatyam) and Mrs. Sudha Bhalerao(Vocal), she has given variety of performances in India as well as in the United States. Kalaasmi Academy is affiliated with Akhil Bharatiya Gandharva Mahavidyala. Students will appear for the certification exams after approval by the teacher.We currently offer lessons at Los angeles, Burbank, Glendale, Culver city, Arcadia, Pasadena and Artesia and over skype.

Sraddha Fine Arts was initially set up in Chennai (India) in September 2020 with an aim to impart the art form of Bharatanatyam (Indian Classical Dance of Tamil Nadu) to the next generation of artistes. The school, which has trained many students in India for 3 years, has now newly opened in West Hollywood (Los Angeles) in 2024. The dance lessons are taken by Aparna Jayaram in Kalakshetra style of dance. Students of all ages and levels can enroll for classes. About the teacher: I (Aparna) have been a Bharatanatyam dancer for more than 20 years, equipping myself with various Bharatanatyam techniques, expressions, and theoretical knowledge behind this divine art form. I have been fortunate to learn from many eminent gurus - Smt.Ambika Buch, Dr. Radhika Vairavelavan, Smt.Jyotsna Narayanan and at present from Padma Shri. Leela Samson.
