LAYAA, a creative environment that nourishes young minds in the art of self-expression and confidence. We believe in providing our students with an energizing and fun atmosphere where dance becomes a cherished medium of self-expression. We focus on the following attributes to create a confident and elegant dancer: - Strength training through Yoga and weight exercises - Knowledge of Dance theory ( Hastas, Bhedas, Slokams, Charis etc) - Thorough knowledge of Adavus ( steps ) - Understanding of Talam ( rhythm) and Sahithyam ( lyrics ) - Abhinayam ( Facial expression and Body movements ) - Attending workshops and training with Senior Artists and teachers in turn expanding their knowledge and to constantly evolve their perception of their art form. The student transitions through various levels of training to attain the ability to render/ perform her Arangetram ( Debut Performance ), where she will perform an entire Bharatanatyam Margam.
