She learnt Kathak Indian Classical Dance from Prabhakar/Visharad Madhumita Ghosh and Padmashri Dr. Roshan Kumari (Exponent in Kathak Jaipur Gharana) for 17 plus years, since she was five years old. She has also learnt Salsa, Odissi and Bharatnatyam. Madhura has learnt and performed various folk dances of India such as Ghumar, Bihari, Koli, Bhangda, Lavani, Garba, and Dandiya. Her latest performances include Thumri, Gat Bhaav, Tarana, Chaturang and Kathak fusion with contemporary music.
