Arushya school of Dance was started by Nandini Muthyamvenkata in 2003 in Chennai with a mission to share her knowledge and experience with young minds and to make it accessible to children and adults alike with an interest to learn. Arushya offers a structured learning program based on the Kalakshetra style of instruction while simultaneously tailoring it to suit student’s individual needs. At Arushya, we believe that learning and practicing any art form is an enriching journey to self-discovery and experiencing creative awareness. The Classes are structured to develop appreciation of music for dance, understand basic Indian mythological themes, and gain insight into theoretical texts for dance and to improve stability and stamina through exercises and techniques. Arushya School of dance offers bharatanatyam classes in the round rock area of Austin, Texas. The classes are structured and limited to small numbers to provide better teacher -student ratio. Arushya believes in a wholistic and comprehensive approach to learning where the students are simultaneously trained in Indian music basics, dance theory, fitness, Indian mythology and Indian folk dance forms. Offering Kalakshetra style Bharathanatyam classes for beginners and advanced learners in a structured manner. Welcoming all age groups.
