Bharatanatyam Dance Class in Menlo Park, CA

Seetha Apratim is a Bharatanatyam artiste based out of Menlo Park, CA. She is trained in the Kalakshetra style of Bharatanatyam. A senior disciple of Guru Smt. Shobanaa Bhalchandra; grand disciple of Padma Bhushan Guru Sri V.P. Dhananjayan and Smt. Shanta Dhananjayan. Seetha is a Doordarshan graded performer. Seetha has taught under her Guru's banner for almost 3 years in India. After moving to California, she has been teaching in Menlo Park from 2017. Seetha believes that through dance, a person gets to truly empathize with another character. This is the best way to lose the “Aham” or the self and realize that we are all small parts of the same big universe. Dance not only helps to maintain physical health; it liberates one's mind from the stresses of modern life and offers enormous power to be mindful and explore higher possibilities of the mind. Kids learning dance imbibe these qualities right from an early age and grow into confident vibrant and positive individuals. Practising the art form on a regular basis can make an individual pick up these qualities at any point in life. Seetha offers classes in Menlo Park, USA (Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, City of Menlo Park). Students, 5 years and above, can register and will be enrolled into one of groups specified below based on their experience and aptitude. Beginners (Adavus until Alarippu), Intermediate (Jathiswaram and above), Advanced (Thillana and above). Each group is further divided into batches based on class strength.
