Nisha Parikh, is the founder and creative director of Nitya Rhythm Dance Academy of Wilkes-barre, PA and Flemington, NJ. She studied bharatanatyam under the guidance of Smt. Sudha Shekhar Devulapalli of Kalanjali School of Dance and graduated from Stuti Dance Academy with guru Smt. Parul Dixit. She learned folk dances and bollywood style of dancing from various famous schools in Ahmedabad, India and NJ. At a very young age of 12, she won 1st prize in junior category at the Inter School Garba Competition organized by the Rotary Club and also won the title of the Best Garba Performer in All Ahmedabad Navratri Garba Competition in 1993 organised by the Garvi Gujarati Channel. Nisha has performed at many acclaimed dance shows throughout her dancing career in NJ and NY areas. She participated actively in the choreographies of Pt.Chitresh Das and Smt.Kumudini Lakhia.
