Arunodhaya Foundation was established in 2018 as a not-for-profit organization with a passionate commitment to promoting and preserving Indian classical dance and music within the Region of Durham and surrounding communities. Its mission centers on creating an inclusive space for learning, collaboration, and performance, helping people engage with and appreciate the rich traditions of Indian art. The foundation’s vision is to build a vibrant cultural tapestry where classical dance and music remain a living, celebrated part of the local artistic identity — inspiring a community that values diversity, tradition, and artistic excellence. To fulfil this vision, Arunodhaya Foundation organises regular workshops, educational initiatives, and collaborative performances, and provides professional training in classical dance forms. Through outreach efforts involving local schools and libraries, the foundation strives to broaden access to these art forms and foster cross-cultural understanding and connection across diverse communities.
