Serving the community for the past 20 years, nurtured several students and made them into Classical Kuchipudi Dancers. Srilatha Suri has extensively performed in about 500 plus Kuchipudi solo and group performances in India and coast-to-coast expedition of the United States, and Trinidad and Tobago. Srilatha Suri has established Natyanjali Kuchipudi Dance School in Plano TX and expanded to Irving, Coppell to promote the exquisiteness of Kuchipudi in the DFW and produce quality performances in the community, and to impart quality, guiding the next generation of Indian Classical dancers to the premier standards. Srilatha has been widely appreciation for her efforts in encouraging and supporting students who have been recognized for their exceptional artistic achievements both in USA as well as India. She has also been recognized by the Mayor of Cupertino and Mayor of garland TX for her choreography and presentation. The dance school was founded in the year 2002 and was initially based in Bangalore, India. It was then registered with the Karnataka education board. Many students were trained in certification courses recommended by the Karnataka state government. Students were also trained in a variety of folk form such as Kolatta, kaikottikali, Lavani, Bhangra, Rajasthani folk, and Karagattam. Semi-classical, contemporary and peacock dance were few other forms introduced to the junior/intermediate level students. Currently, Arohana Academy of Performing Arts (R) is based in Plano, Texas. Bharathanatyam courses are offered to kids (6 years and above) and adults in the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
