Hamsa Raghuvir is a versatile Carnatic vocalist, well groomed by the legendary violin maestro Padma Bhushan Sri. Lalgudi G. Jayaraman. She is the daughter of Dr. Karaikudi S. Subramanian, who is the founder of Brhaddhvani (brhaddhvani.org) and a 9th generation veena player of the Karaikudi tradition. Hamsa has been teaching Carnatic vocal in the US for the past 7 years and has now relocated to South Bay (Los Gatos area).
