We recognize that caring for the needs of older adults reaches beyond the individual to the entire family. Not only do our well-established services offer care and assistance to older adult clients, but many programs provide support for the ongoing needs of caregivers and families.Benevilla holds these values as most important for its organization:Benevilla was created as a not-for-profit organization in 1981 by citizens of the Sun Cities area out of concern that local services were not readily available to the community’s residents. Their mission was to promote health and independence by providing supportive services to their neighbors. Then, a group of 30 volunteers helping with errands and home care services and a handful of employees; today, a network of Life Enrichment Day Programs, various support and educational services, a comprehensive care-management programs and social activities – all supported by more than 500 volunteers and 100+ employees – that seek to help keep people independent and in their own homes.By building a caring community of neighbors helping neighbors, Benevilla is able to provide extensive support services for older adults, adults with disabilities, children, and the families who care for them.
We hire experienced caregivers who have a passion for providing care and enriching the lives of our clients. Our caregivers enjoy developing relationships with our clients. They receive great satisfaction from sharing a smile, enjoying long conversations, showing kindness and mutual respect, and ensuring a safe environment at home for our clients. We pride ourselves on our caregiver’s compassion, experience, and flexibility. But we know this isn’t all it takes to provide the best care possible. Caregivers also need excellent skills and competency in care – and that comes from excellent training.

Oakwood Creative Care began as Sirrine Adult Day Health Services in 1975. The founders dreamed of a nonprofit that would provide an innovative solution to helping older adults remain in their homes for as long as possible, while staying connected to the community as their health care needs were being met.In 2013, Sirrine leadership changed and with it came a rebrand and revitalization. The organization’s name changed to Oakwood Creative Care. The Board of Directors and staff leadership felt it was important to remain close to our deep roots in the community – however, they also wanted to offer a more innovative approach to the services being offered. Oakwood Creative Care’s rich history and ability to adapt to the needs of our members is a testament to the community that supports this amazing organization.

Opened in 2006, Justa Center is the only resource and day center exclusively serving seniors experiencing homelessness in the Phoenix area. Justa Center provides essential support and services for homeless adults age 55 and over, including benefits assistance, transportation coordination, help finding permanent housing, and more. Our extensive hands-on experience has shaped our approach to addressing the diverse needs of seniors. We recognize the necessity for a heightened level of response. We firmly believe in a comprehensive approach that caters to the unique needs of aging adults, acknowledging the entirety of their being rather than just their current status. By collaborating, we develop personalized plans aimed at achieving optimal outcomes.Until recently, initiatives aimed at enhancing the well-being of Americans were concentrated on broadening the availability of high-quality healthcare. Similarly, strategies to eradicate homelessness have centered on employment, addiction, and mental health services.By collaborating with programs and partners dedicated to addressing each of these factors, we enhance seniors' chances of returning to and sustaining housing, allowing them to age comfortably in place.

Arbor Rose Senior Care is an ALTCS provider but requires that the resident pays privately for up to two years before they will accept ALTCS as a payor source. The amount of time depends on the current census so call to check the current requirements.Understand that proper planning is essential when there is a "private pay requirement." Without planning you may find yourself having to continue to private pay past the two-year requirement. We believe fully actualized senior living is more than nice amenities and quality care. Those are table stakes. Only when our residents feel embraced by the compassion, empathy, and support of team members and the kindness of neighbors can they experience optimal well-being and truly feel at home.
