The AATMA Performing Arts dance school was founded to bridge the gap between Indian and modern forms of movement. The school prides itself on providing a strong foundation in ballet, Indian classical dance, and modern street styles (Hip-Hop and Bollywood). As an Indian dance company who primarily uses Bollywood music, we teach our students not only discipline in body movement but the art of facial expression and stage presence, while providing an understanding of lyrics and culture to enhance our students' depth of performance. AATMA's highly-trained dancers have worked with some of the industry's top artists around the world. Our goal is to deliver a "WOW" factor to our clients while maintaining a genuine balance of both eastern and western art forms. AATMA Performing Arts’ accredited dance school teaches at 9 studios in New Jersey and New York. Our group classes are conducted in a wide range of styles (Bollywood, Indo-Contemporary, Hip-Hop, Bharatanatyam, Kathak, and Indian Folk) for students ages 4 and up. Students of the AATMA Performing Arts dance school work collaboratively in class and perform at competitions, community events, concerts, NBA games, and AATMA's annual dance recital. Our goal is to develop students into versatile performers with a strong Indian and Western dance vocabulary. We have rental costumes for men and women.

Our class offerings range from classical Kalkashetra Bharatanatyam dance and Lucknow Gharana Kathak to western Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Hip Hop and energetic Bollywood Fusion. For toddlers, we offer a Preschooler’s Bollywood class and for adults, we offer adult Bollywood fusion classes. We also offer private classes for Weddings and other events. Our student performing dance company and our professional Nritya Creations Performing Dance Company (NCPC) specialize in creative fusion choreography that artistically blends various styles of Indian Dance such as Bharatanatyam, and Kathak with Western Dance forms such as Ballet, Jazz, Modern, and Hip-Hop as well as other cultural dance forms like Bollywood, Ballroom, and Flamenco. Through its cross-cultural collaboration in choreography, Nritya Creations prides itself in creating a unique and wonderfully pleasing experience of sight and sound. With a faculty of highly-qualified, caring and ethnically diverse dance experts, students are trained seriously in technique and eventually blossom into graceful and versatile dancers as they mature and grow in the program.
