Nicole aka 'Nickel' is a Dancer, Choreographer, and dance teacher originally from Windsor, CT. She began dancing at the age of four at Northern Connecticut Ballet where she danced for fourteen years. Nicole began to explore different styles of dance when she reached high school where she took two years of Hip Hop at Alyce Carella Dance Centre before matriculating at the University of Virginia to study Mechanical Engineering. In order to keep feeding her passion for dance Nicole joined the Virginia Dance Company, University Dance Club and X-tasee Dance Crew while in Charlottesville, Virginia. In addition to this, she studied Modern and Dance Choreography with Rose Pasquarello Beauchamp. After college, Nicole returned to Connecticut and taught Hip Hop and Contemporary Dance at Alyce Carella Dance Center in West Hartford, CT and has performed with Equilibrium Dance Theatre and NYC Dance Arts. She has also performed at WNBA basketball games, the Hot 97 Summer Jam Festival and choreographed for off broadway musicals and music videos!

I have dedicated 14 years to mastering Bharathanatyam under the esteemed guidance of Guru Shri Trichy Veluchamy Iyer. I teach "BollyNatyam" classes for kids ages 5 and up in Ashburn and Great Falls areas. This is an exciting and fun class to introduce kids to the ancient classical Indian style of Bharathnatyam in a fun and modern way by dancing to up temo Bollywood and/or Western mixed music.
