Natya Shakthi Academy was established by Girija Anand with an Objective of taking our Classical dance Bharathanatyam to the next generation dancers in United States. It all started long back with just 3 small kids now the academy is a well known entity with a lot of Good Dancers in the DFW area. Not only Dance, the academy aims at development of individual self in various perspectives and makes learning a holistic experience. Apart from Practical dancing, students learn Dance theory, Choreography, Culture, Mythology, Exercises, Stage management, Presentation techniques, Lighting Techniques, Stage Craft make up & Teaching. NSA will have regular dance programs, recitals, and we also perform getting along with other Dance Institutions in the DFW area on big banner performances like Sivagamiyin Sabadam, Ram Leela, Nala Damayanthi, FETNA etc.

Bharathashetra School Of Dance is a dance school dedicated to an ancient Indian dance  form Bharatanatyam. Dance is not just taught but appreciated and cherished at Bharathashetra. Understanding and appreciating  art is very important in the process of learning. This is encouraged and achieved through our practical and theory lessons .Students of all ages ,and levels are welcome .

Mrs. Rajalakshmi Krishna alias Ms. Raji has been a Bharatanatyam dance: performing artist practitioner, teacher, choreographer and ardent evangelist. She has commendable contributions and service for past 25 years in performing, teaching and advisory to cultural art groups of leading schools in India and United States. Ms. Raji started her formal training from her Grand uncle and Guru Natyacharya Kalaimamani Shree K.R,Radhakrishnan at her very young age. She continued her lessons from with Smt. Jayalakshmi Arunachalam of Shanmughanandha Bharatanatya Palli Chennai. After finishing her full time Bharatanatyam course in Chennai, Tamil Nadu she started her advanced training from her Grand uncle and Guru Natyacharya Kalaimamani K.R. Radhakrishnan, Who is talented musician, nattuvanur and a teacher.

The dance school was founded in the year 2002 and was initially based in Bangalore, India. It was then registered with the Karnataka education board. Many students were trained in certification courses recommended by the Karnataka state government. Students were also trained in a variety of folk form such as Kolatta, kaikottikali, Lavani, Bhangra, Rajasthani folk, and Karagattam. Semi-classical, contemporary and peacock dance were few other forms introduced to the junior/intermediate level students. Currently, Arohana Academy of Performing Arts (R) is based in Plano, Texas. Bharathanatyam courses are offered to kids (6 years and above) and adults in the beginner, intermediate, and advanced levels.
