Kanha School of Dance is a non-profit organization dedicated to teaching and performing Bharata Nrityam- an ancient Indian classical dance form. It was established in 2011 in San Jose, CA. It was founded by Ashwini Srivatsan, the artistic director of the company. The company strives to bring the eastern tradition of Bharata Nrityam to the west. Dance, music and culture are an integral part of building a community that one can feel a strong connection with and this is Kanha's mission.
