Navrasa Dance was started by Anuya Wagh Mistry, shishya of Vasundhara Sridharan and Priya Balan. It specializes in the Indian classical dance of Bharatnatyam as well as folk dances from all over India. With the blessings of her Gurus and her mission to spread the knowledge, Navrasa Dance has now grown into a thriving group of artists who have been performing in the Chicago land area since its inception. Navrasa means 9 rasas (or emotions). Our logo is a peacock with 9 feathers. Or a lotus with 9 petals. The eye of the peacock is a swan. The peacock represents us and the swan (or hamsa) represents the divine. Navrasa Bharatanatyam Dance Academy, teaches the Pandanallore style of dance in the Schaumburg area and provides a unique opportunity for students to learn traditional Bharatanatyam dance. Goals: To teach Bharatanatyam and folk dances of all over India and generate respect for the different cultures.

Shirlzar Dance Company seems to be a modern dance company that likely focuses on contemporary and innovative dance styles. They have a cinematic quality and are energetic. They have been instructing professionals and performers from all over the world since 2006. Bollywood superstars like Hrithik Roshan, Salman Khan, Prabhu Deva, Shahid Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra, and many others have trained and performed alongside them. A variety of dancers are being trained by them in Chicago for competitions, private events, and wedding choreography while they also teach online and in-person. Shirlzar's mission is to bring out the best in all of its artists and students so that they can use music and performing arts as a gift to spread Indian culture, tradition, and authenticity around the world. and use genres like Bollywood, folk, fusion, and semi-classical Indian to brighten up our neighbourhoods and make people smile. Shirlzar has led dance teams to victories in events such Naperville India Day, 3iii, and AIA. They have performed as opening acts for celebrities including Guru Randhawa, Kanika Kapoor, Atif Aslam, and Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. Etc
