Words That She Spoke!

Motherhood is something beyond happiness. I can write to my heart’s content when it comes to my daughter. Like other mothers I wanted my daughter to get the first word that she speaks to be “Mama”. So i always kept a watch on what she tries to say.
I would love to hear her baby talks….she would relate to stories that I would tell her, she would move her lips and eyes to the songs that I would sing, she would tap, clap, smile when I say good things about her, she would laugh loud when I complain about her dad, she would jump when she knows that I am about to carry her, she would tap the water so hard and excited while she baths & everything thing she did was a new experience for me. Whatever said and done, I would never miss to remind her to say “Mama” J
Infact, I had a bet with my husband that my daughters first words would be mama… but to my surprise it was “Daada, daddy, dad”
Did I feel sad? Did I get jealous? Did I feel she likes her dad more than me? Ofcourse yes, a thousand questions flashed and for a few hours I was completely blank. All I could hear was “Dad” Dad” “Dad”. It took some time to turn around and see what was going on, while engrossed in my world of pondering I looked at my husband & I felt the immense happiness in his smile.
It was at that moment, I realized - what better joy a mother can have than to see her husband and daughter bond for life. Those words still mean a world to me because I admire the relationship that my daughter and husband share.
“While we parents try to teach our children all about life, they teach us what life is”. I’m sure a few readers here would feel the same. I want to relate and find out if really someone felt the same as I did or was it a weird disappearing thought?
