5 Things To Do During Pregnancy
Confirmation of pregnancy brings happiness for most mum-to-be, with most wondering, “Only if someone told me what to do till the stork’s arrival.” Here are a few things that you should do, so as to make pregnancy a happy and memorable time.
The 5 things you should do during pregnancy:
1) Be regular in going for pre-natal appointments: It is important to start attending your pre-natal appointments; these appointments are very important from the point of view of looking after the health of you and the unborn baby. Pre-natal appointments help the doctor sort out and treat any issues in the course of the pregnancy, helping the newborn to get the best start in life.
2) Pregnancy is the right time to relax and pamper yourself: Remove the stress created by attending to the daily mundane jobs; the additional stress could be harmful for you and the baby with your body is already stressed up with trying to supply the baby’s need. Excess stress could increase the risk of pre-mature birth and abnormalities in your baby. Joining local support groups in a city like New York would be very helpful; you could meet other pregnant women and discuss your worries and anxieties; a problem shared is halved.
3) Ensure you get your recommended daily dose of folic acid: An unborn baby’s development depends on a pregnant woman’s diet; ensure that you get your daily dose of folic acid to reduce the risk to the little one of getting heart defects, problems in the spinal cord and having a baby with neural tube defect. Folic acid is readily available in green vegetables and sprouts; though you may require other folic supplements also. Your doctor is the best to advice you regarding the daily recommended dose of folic acid though it is found that women that are diabetic, or suffer from sickle disease and some other medical issues need more of folic acid during pregnancy.

4) Attend a pregnancy photo shoot for memories: Pregnancy is the perfect time to have a photo shoot of your bump to keep as a beautiful keepsake for life. Attending a photo shoot along with your spouse, family and friends would be the most ideal way to capture the little miracle in this life’s most exciting time. Not only would you enjoy seeing the photo, but your little one would also enjoy it on growing up.
5) Make the most use of your free time: Enjoy yourself doing things you love, as you would have less of “my” time later with the baby’s sleepless nights, being sick and dirty nappies. Also ensure you appoint a responsible babysitter that could mind the baby when you enjoy yourself occasionally, adjusting growing family with relaxation time is an ongoing process. After all it has been well said that a happy parent makes a happy child.
