We are a licensed child care facility, with a capacity of children for Full day programs, from 8 am to 6 pm, Monday to Friday. The inside area is 3770 sq ft divided into 4 separate classrooms. The classrooms are very well designed, with care to include all quality materials and learning centers. The interior of each room has beautiful colors and painted murals on the wall. The outdoor space is equally well designed, with a beautiful playground that is fenced for protection of the children. We have plenty of climbing slides, and tricycles to enhance the gross motor skill of each child. After having worked as a Preschool Teacher for 7 years at Challenger School and at Stratford School I have decided to start my own Preschool and Childcare program in order to create a happy, nurturing, educative and fun environment for kids. My main goal being to create developmentally appropriate environment that would spark a love for learning in children, help build their confidence and self-esteem, promote their social/emotional, physical and cognitive development. My goal is to support their desire to learn, quench their curiosity and set them up for success. Gems Academy is a home based Preschool Program for kids ages 14 months to 6 years old. A program that s big enough for kids to make those social connections and small enough for them to get the individual care and attention they deserve.

Love and Laughter Play School is a child-centered, play based large family child care program for children ages 0-5 years old. We provide an environment that encourages children to be self-motivated learners. We strive to build trust and positive relationships with kids and their families. We engage children with developmentally appropriate activities including story times, art, cooking, sensory play and building preschool skills along with plenty of free time. I have two very large play rooms which have been setup for exclusive use for the children in addition to other shared areas in my house. There is a huge deck in the backyard setup like an outdoor classroom and play area for the children and it has trikes & riding toys, sand and water table, chalk boards, arts area and a play house with a kitchen. This is also the place where children eat their meals, create arts and many other activities are enjoyed while being outdoors. Also we have an enclosed front yard where children can enjoy gardening, water the plants, play with mud and water etc etc. All these experiences together allows children room to be themselves, help them make their own decisions, and just create whatever they want to. I believe that children learn by DOING, by using all of their senses, and by creating messes!
