White Marsh Child Care Center was started in 1984 by Elizabeth Huffman. Ms. Huffman recognized the need for families to have a safe environment and quality care for their children when they were at work. She believed she could offer that safe environment and quality care. That belief grew into the White Marsh Child Care Center located off of Silver Spring Road. As years have passed and the child care industry has grown, White Marsh Child Care Center has grown also. Today, there are three locations: two provide all day care and one provides a before and after school program. White Marsh Child Care Center is set apart from other day care centers by its continuous drive to provide quality care and to extend its programs to keep up with the growing needs of children.
Rated 1.0 The owner takes in Special Needs children with ZERO qualified staff to support them. Not a single staff member is actually qualified to do what they are tasked with doing. The staff do not have keys to access the building in a safe manner. They had not given out an allergy list as of Mid November. They were ALWAYS out of ratio ex 22 children, 7 of whom are Special Needs and NONE have aides. Not a single Fire Escape plan posted until Almost November AFTER the Fire Dept came by. The owner humiliates and degrades her staff on a daily basis IN FRONT of the students. She requires staff to buy supplies and refuses to compensate them. She would reward the violent children who were allowed to punch kick spit slap and spit on us with toys and hugs. DO NOT SEND YOUR CHIDREN THERE! All of the non special needs children were being failed as they got lost in the complete chaos of to many inclusion students and ZERO support. I didnt work a week there that people didnt quit. This I could go on and on about
