I have been playing violin for 16 years. I went to Briar Woods High School and graduated from James Madison University in May 2014. I was 1st Chair, 1st Violin in the Briar Woods High School Orchestra and the Loudoun Chamber Orchestra. I have previously taught violin for beginner and intermediate levels and prepared students for auditions to the Loudoun Chamber Orchestra. I have recently started practicing Carnatic music and will be able to provide lessons after some time.

I started learning Bharatanatyam from Guru Rajee in 1977, when I was 4 years old. I have performed my arangetram when I was 13 and won the best dancer award from my school, The South Indian Education Society's High School. In later years, I learnt Nattuvangam and Tala Shastra from Guru Rajee. I have taken active part in school and college competitions, winning laurels and credits to my gurus. I have participated in several dance dramas of Nritya Geethanjali, at NCPA, Ravindra Natya Mandir, Nehru Centre, Mulund Fine Arts and given several solo performances. After completing my undergraduation in Commerce, have completed her MBA from California State University. I have given several performances in the U.S. and conducted dance classes in South Carolina and Phoenix. I won an award in the International Dance Festival in Florence, South Carolina.

The harmonium classes will begin with an understanding of the basic scales and notations, then progress into finger practice exercises and finally raga and songs.
