I have a 4 month old and a 16 month old. My 16 month old walks around so does not need to be carried around. Just needs to be changed and fed timely. She’s pretty good in staying engaged and entertained by herself. My 4 month old however needs continuos care and supervision… almost never needs to be carried around if you’re good at keeping him engaged on a playing mat and feeding and changing him timely.
