About The Tidewater School
The Tidewater School was founded in 1986 by educator Nancy Libertini in response to the need for a developmentally appropriate school for young children in Southern Maryland. Tidewater blends its Montessori curriculum with an Adlerian behavior model to help inspire and support children's intellectual, social, and emotional development. We pride ourselves on nurturing children and supporting families through classes, seminars, and social events. Preschool through grade 5. Montessori curriculum, Spanish, music, outdoor education, and multi-cultural studies at all levels. Extended care available. The Tidewater School was founded in 1986.
