About Sunshine Center Montessori Preschool

The Sunshine Centers mission is to help prepare your child for formal education in a traditional classroom setting. In order to prepare them for formal education we will: Provide them with a safe environment away from home making them comfortable and relieving anxiety from separation from parents. Teach them how to problem solve effectively with their peers using best practice guidance techniques and methods. Make them feel confident in their abilities, boosting self esteem through activities that stimulate their interest preparing them for school. Emergent curriculum or activities based on your child's interest will keep them engaged in educational activities each day, during this time our staff will help guide your child through "teachable moments" during play. Personal portfolios containing written observations complete with pictures and videos of your child's progress will chart
