Haggard Childcare Resources founded its first school in Seattle in 1976. The school was the first full-day Montessori program in Seattle, starting with just seven children. Over the next 40 years, we have maintained our commitment to our mission and now serve over 500 children throughout 37 classrooms in six Children's Centers. Each of our Centers are nationally accredited through NAEYC and many are participating in Washington's Early Achievers program. Our Montessori programs are all members of the American Montessori Society (AMS). While each Center maintains its own unique identity, driven by the partnership of staff, children, and their families, they are tied by a commitment to putting children first and maintaining the highest standards as professional educators. Our early childhood programs are based on the educational philosophies of Maria Montessori and Magda Gerber.
