About SAND Preschool

North Decatur United Methodist Church was founded with children in mind. Elizabeth Thompson opened a pre-k and kindergarten in the late 1950's to bridge the gap between the local preschools and elementary schools. We believe that children search out knowledge through their own investigations. Playing, building, and creating are the cornerstones of our classes. By modeling positive verbal and body language, our teachers instill the life-long skills of listening.
