About The Child's Primary School

For 35 years The Child's Primary School (TCPS) has guided hundreds of San Diego youth on a path to high school, college and beyond that is rooted in a genuine love for learning. We recognize that a student s journey of learning from the ages of 5-14 isn t only happening in a school setting with academic content. TCPS faculty and staff create an environment where students are encouraged and feel safe to take risks, and to strengthen their ability to foster relationships. Connecting students experiences in the classroom with the real world is critical. We accomplish this with a creative and expansive curriculum which includes science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) along with the arts (STEAM). We also value our small school environment that gives our students and teachers the opportunity to deepen individual learning experiences, encourage cross age collaboration, and much more.
