About Montessori Childrens House

Our Montessori school was first established in San Antonio in 1987 by owner Verna Gabriel under the name Oaks North Montessori and later when we moved to our present location, it was called Montessori Earth School. We then had the opportunity to take a cherished name in Montessori – "Children's House" – as our own. Dr. Maria Montessori called her first school “Children's House“ and envisioned that all Montessori Schools be small, home-like, personalized, communities for young children. We feel the name best describes who we are and will serve as a reminder to us daily of who we serve, the children, and Maria Montessori's vision. Our Montessori program is year round and we offer open enrollment throughout the year as space allows. Montessori Children's House provides child care on most holidays.
