Large Family Child Care is held to higher state standards but is still a small family environment of 12 children with more staff to child ratio then Family Child Care ( 1/8) or a Child Care Center (1/12). Children learn from each other individual families needs are a priority.Through the use of The Creative Curriculum each child is individually assessed and lesson plans are developed with nature inspired guided play activities designed to develop curiosity, social skills, school readiness and love of learning.Research shows that young children, like older children and adults of all ages, derive a range of benefits from having access to nature even if only a small patch of trees on marginal urban land.
