About OMS Montessori

OMS Montessori began offering Montessori education to a small number of children between 3 and 6 years of age under the name Ottawa Montessori School. Twenty years later we purchased two buildings in Alta Vista and added a link to make it one school. In 2003 we offered a Junior High Program for grades 7 and 8 and by 2009, a High School became a strategic goal. In 2012 that goal was implemented and we now offer High School at The Element. OMS Montessori is a not-for-profit private school offering an authentic Montessori education in the nation s capital. At OMS Montessori, we have a rich community of students with diverse abilities, interests, cultures and needs. The curriculum we offer is internationally recognized and implemented in schools across Canada, the United States and throughout the world. We are licensed under the Day Nurseries Act.
