Ghent Montessori School is an independent co-educational Montessori day school in Norfolk, Virginia educating children ages 24 months (Toddlers) through the eighth grade (Middle School). We have been serving the Hampton Roads community since 1978. Ghent Montessori organized as a privately-owned corporation in 1981 to provide the benefits of a Montessori education to the children of this community.Conveniently located near downtown Norfolk, Virginia, between the Chrysler Museum of Art and the Harrison Opera House, our building is specifically designed for children and is a fine example of the Montessori prepared environment. Our policy is to welcome diversity in both the student body and staff. We enroll students and hire staff without regard to race, color, religion, gender or national origin.
