About My Little Village Preschool

My Little Village (‘MLV’) first opened its doors in September 2003 with six children enrolled in a small space on Avenue A. The school was founded, literally built, and managed by 3 people: Jeff Winner, Karl Geary and Amy Kraus, with Amy serving as director and Jeff and Karl serving behind the scenes. As we grew, we hired new staff members–many of whom have been with us for 20 years or more. We moved to the current site in Seward Park in June 2018. As the school has grown, many of our policies have matured, expanded in scope, and changed with the times. We like to think of MLV as a work in progress, where each of the families and staff members has a voice in creating and bettering the school and its community.
