BBC Preschool will have family projects, special theme days, and things that they will need to bring in as homework. This is to help keep it fun and to bring home things they are learning at school for you to do together. There will be a theme of the week and a clear lesson plan laying out what we will be focusing on in the different interest areas for that week. I will also try from time to time to make copies of songs, finger plays and list of books we read during group time. Weekly lessons taught with influences of Montessori and Reggio theories. BBC Preschool believes a mix of both is almost a perfect balance for a preschool age child. Children need the structure that Montessori lessons bring while still feeding their ever growing curiosity and creativity that Reggio has to offer. This is a school in my home. I will treat it as such and will expect your family to do the same.
