The Westmont Montessori School provides an environment that fosters independence, self-esteem, integrity, and personal responsibility. Our Montessori philosophy empowers each child by providing the foundation to excel academically, to develop respect for self and others, and to value the world in which we live. The Westmont graduate is a capable young person who is inspired to learn. Founded in 1964 by parents dedicated to a progressive educational system, the school continues to experience growth and success more than half a century later. When I entered the school for the first time over 30 years ago I felt its unique draw. I knew it was a place in which I wanted to pursue my career, a place that expected me to live my profession, share my passion for the children in my care, and impart the philosophy of education I embraced.
