The Martinez Early Childhood Center (MECC) is a private, non-profit program dedicated to offering high quality Toddler and Preschool Education and full time care for children 1 to 5 years old. Taking advantage of this rich, natural setting, children have a unique opportunity to experience this outdoor classroom of local, abundant wildlife. Child development research has demonstrated that children learn as they play and interact with their physical and social environment. As children discover, create, experiment, construct, and interact with peers, they are developing concepts about the world. Our goal is to ensure that when children leave our program they will be both, emotionally, and academically ready to be successful as they continue their education and development in the K-12 system and in the community.
