Hi, I provide drawing and painting classes for kids aged 4- 12 yrs old. Painting is my passion and I have a 5 yr old daughter who is very interested in drawing and painting. I have found it rewarding teaching her and I would also like to share my knowledge, teaching children. I would be teaching basics like line, shapes, colors, pattern,shading and also introducing various mediums like colored pencils, acrylic painting, watercolors,oil pastels etc. Classes start from June 1st 5:30-6:30 pm at my house. About the fees- 25$ registration fees and 15$ per class. It's usually 4 classes per month.You can pay me as you go or in advance every month. Please feel free to call or email me for more details. Sitarist Indrajit Banerjee is one of the leading exponents of the Maihar Gharana. He was born in a musical family, unique due to a large number of accomplished artists in Hindustani Classical Music. Some of these family members include his guru, Pandit Kartick Kumar (Sitar), Pandit Barun Kumar Pal (Hamsa Veena), Niladri Kumar (Sitar), Partho Das (Sitar), Aparna Roy (Surbahar). He got inspiration from his sitarist mother, Manju Banerjee, who was a disciple of late Nikhil Banerjee, and afterward, Santosh Banerjee. Indrajit's training began with his maternal grandfather, Bankim Kumar Pal, who was the disciple of Inayat Khan, and Birendra Kishore Roy Chowdhuri (Kochi Babu). He then took training under Pandit Manilal Nag of Bishnupur Gharana. Later on, he took intensive training from his uncle, Pandit Kartick Kumar, who is a senior disciple of Pandit Ravi Shankar. All of this training developed a strong foundation for Indrajit's music and creative individuality. Indrajit has a special touch on Sitar combined with technical virtuosity and sensitivity. Storytellers School of Dance (SSD), lead by Ekta Popat, will be offering Kathak classes in Sugar Land (for adults and children ages 5 & up) starting August 2017. Ekta Popat is a disciple of Guru Smt. Shambhavi Dandekar and is training in the Benaras Gharana of Kathak. She hopes to give her students the same authentic training that she is fortunate to receive from her guru. Through discipline, focus, and fun Ekta hopes to share her passion and love for Kathak with all of her students. SSD is certified to conduct diploma examinations in Kathak. Students of SSD will be trained according to the syllabus determined by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University in Pune, India. Students will be evaluated periodically and encouraged to take examinations annually.

The EASI Academy Houston will be conducting a two-subject summer Academic Camp consisting of AP Calculus and an interdisciplinary course in History/Literature/Science. The objective of this camp is to prepare students to enter and be competitive in one of the top universities in the United States such as Harvard, Berkeley, Stanford, Yale, Chicago and Princeton AP. Calculus course will be an accelerated calculus course that will cover functions, limits, continuity, differentiation, integration and applications at the AB level. The Interdisciplinary Course will consist in the study of sixty-five events that changed human history taken from History, Literature and Science.
