By providing opportunities for regular socialization and recreation, adult day care contributes directly to the mental and physical well being of clients and their families.Adult day care services allow older adults with a variety of cognitive and physical limitations to remain as independent as possible in the home environment. Furthermore, by providing an intermediate level of care between full-time home and full-time nursing care, adult day care services assist the community in delaying the need for much more costly options of the hospital and nursing home care. This creates an economic alternative to full institutionalization.Our adult day health care center is a licensed community-based program that provides health, rehabilitative, recreation and social services to those who need assistance living independently but would benefit from the socialization provided in a group setting.
