Rated 1.0 A Heartbreaking Experience at Kidz World Preschool Until yesterday, both my children attended Kidz World Preschool. We chose it for its faith-based values, and while my son had a wonderful experience, my daughter was not given the same support. She has a developmental delay and sensory needs, making certain situations overwhelming. We took immediate steps—getting her evaluated by ECI and enrolling her in speech therapy. She made great progress, had no disciplinary write-ups, and received positive feedback from her teachers. However, after Christmas break, everything changed. The director pressured our ECI representative to write negative statements about my daughter to justify denying her re-enrollment. When that failed, they began writing her up for minor, uncontrollable behaviors and creating situations that triggered distress—clearly pushing her out. Then, at pickup, I was blindsided by an attorney hired by the director to unenroll both my daughter and my five-year-old son—who had done nothing wrong. I was warned that speaking out would result in legal action. My son, confused and heartbroken, kept asking, “Mommy, why can’t I go to school anymore?” More teachers are leaving, citing concerns over the director’s leadership. A former staff member called it the most un-Christian behavior they’d ever seen. Families deserve to know what’s happening behind closed doors. No child should be cast aside for being different.
