Welcome to Kidz Camp. We have been operating here in Plano since 2008 and have established a reputation for top quality early childhood education. Curriculum & Programs

Kidz Camp provides just the right environment to promote the healthy development of infants. We care for infants in safe surroundings to give them the security and comfort they need, which in turn encourages their development. Our nurturing caregivers interact with each child through conversation during times of feeding, diapering, and other optimal situations. This enables the caregivers to observe and follow each child’s own individual rhythms for eating, sleeping and activity.

The toddler years are an exciting time filled with intense learning, and this stage is critical to the development of personality and intellect. At Kidz Camp, we use the Montessori toddler curriculum to stimulate the growth of your child.

This is the stage where students can really begin to experience the fullness of multi-age groups. With older kids serving as examples and role models, they are encouraged to lead and assist the younger children, who benefit from having someone to look up to. In a traditional classroom setting, with closer age groupings, the leaders generally form based the strongest personalities. In the Montessori classroom, however, even the more quiet ones are given opportunities to develop leadership skills.

The pace of learning really accelerates during these years. This is what’s called the “second plane of development” in the Montessori philosophy. Dr. Montessori also referred to this as the “intellectual period” where children learn and explore in a boundless fashion if they are placed in a rich environment.

We offer extended care for those families that need it. This program runs from 3 – 6 pm and allows children to socialize and have free playtime in a secure environment. Since there is a broader mix from among the different classrooms, the kids have new opportunities to interact with an even wider range of playmates.
