The Creative Curriculum will be used with the Teaching Strategies Gold to provide integrated learning in all domains of development because this curriculum promotes learning in alignment with the Michigan Early Learning Standards. Building Language for Literacy (BLL) is a supplemental curriculum that works with the Creative Curriculum. Language and literacy must be promoted in all aspects of the classroom, to create a language and literacy-rich environment. Teachers plan activities to promote phonemic awareness through: Rhyming songs and books, Word play games. The book lending library is used to promote home literacy environments and supplement classroom-based literacy.
