I had become frustrated and discouraged with many of North Carolina s laws as to what can and can not be done in a classroom. (For example, did you know that in a licensed center in North Carolina, that it is a violation to use food for activities, such as cheerio beading, or skittles science experiments (they believe it sends a mixed signal, and teaches children to play with their food instead of having a healthy relationship with food) -crazy, right?! ) So with these limitations and many others, I could not do and create the magical space that I wanted and felt like I wasn t giving my all and I just wasn t fulfilled. My dream is to create a discovery place -esque environment for your children to come dream, explore, and discover. I have such a passion for education and engaging children. I live for those light bulb moments where a child gets it and the connection has been made, and that love of learning has been reinforced! I wasn t getting that with my employment, so I decided to create it! I have carefully curated toys that engage, challenge, and build children s strength and knowledge, and with my education and experience, I help facilitate play so that children get the most out of each visit!
