While learning goals are expected to give a child reading, writing skills etc., the teachers approach in preschool should be to give the child overall perspective, social skills, identifying their true inner talent or interests. The Montessori method essentially divides the curriculum into five or more focused genres; math, language, science, practical life, and sensorial. Children may elect to work on all five genres in one day, or simply stick to one. Children are provided the choice and independence to make these types of decisions for themselves. MCC classrooms follow the Montessori method, and tailor it further to the varying ages and readiness of our students.
