The HVCLC Team works together to create a well-rounded curriculum based upon play and early literacy. The loose definition of “play” is to take part in an enjoyable activity. This being the case, it is no wonder that upon being asked what our children did at HVCLC each day, the typical answer is, “I played”. Play is an integral part of learning as it is a time when our brains naturally pick up knowledge from the environment and the activity we choose to take part in. A child’s view of the world that they live in and how they see themselves in it is greatly shaped by “play” and here at HVCLC, a lot of planning goes into all of that “play”.
