About Friends School

Friends School in Detroit is a place where academic excellence and creative challenge are rooted in the Quaker tradition of cooperation and community spirit.  Friends School is a nationally recognized independent school offering children from preschool (age 3) through eighth grade a caring community where each child can grow intellectually, socially and spiritually. Our school is a Day School, Coed, Preschool - Ages 3 and 4, Grades K-8. Our students come from all over the metropolitan area.  Our three and four year olds enjoy the rich resources of our school including music and foreign language instruction.  Friends School provides a well-rounded program where academic excellence, creative development, and community awareness are nurtured in a supportive, friendly environment.
