About Fit By Five Preschool

Fit By Five Preschool & Summer Camp, The Fit by Five Preschool program was created in 1969 by Betty Perkins Carpenter of Rochester, New York. She developed the program after years of studying children's movement through the Perkins Swim Club. In 1985 she decided to expand her program and branched out to franchising. In 1994 we decided we would like to run a business of our own and we wanted a business that would allow us to be with our children also. At the time, we had 2 small children - a 2 year old (now 22) and a 6 month old (now 20). We purchased a franchise from Ms. Perkins, and opened Fit by Five Preschool in North Olmsted. By 1999 we had outgrown our facility and built a new larger facility in Westlake.
