About Eldercare Lake County

Eldercare s mission is to help adult s ages 65+ remain as healthy and independent as possible. Eldercare provides FREE services to older adults in Northern Lake County, Illinois. Door to door medical transportation, shopping trips and friendly home Visits are available to all who apply. The quality and value of Eldercare s services has been corroborated by several awards over the years. Eldercare was one of just five 2001 American Hospital Association Nova Award winners in the nation, received two Daily Point of Light Awards and was the 2002 United Way of Lake County Organization Volunteer Program of the Year. In 2003 and in each of the years between 2006 and 2014, an Eldercare volunteer was named Outstanding Senior Citizen by the Lake County Council for seniors.
