Family Caregiver Consultant is the founder of Eldercare and Caregiver Solutions (ECS), a company established to educate families about the various sources of support for seniors. When an elderly family member is in need of continuous care as a result of a debilitating chronic illness, loss of mobility or requires a long recovery, it is best to assemble a professional team consisting of a care manager and a certified elder law attorney. They can help you quickly assess your needs. The care manager will perform a comprehensive assessment for the care recipient. It will include a forecast of the illness and an environmental scan inclusive of assets, living arrangements, interests and support systems. Marilyn spent seven years as primary caregiver to her mother, and she shared in the care of her aunt; both living well into their nineties.
