We are a family in Edgewater, NJ, seeking a math and reading/writing tutor for our 7th-grade daughter, going to Leonia, who plans to apply to Bergen County Academies (BCA). We live on Undercliff Avenue in Edgewater, about five minutes from the GW Bridge. Need help with pre-algebra, challenging word problems, reading comprehension, and BCA-style analytical essays (timed, text-based writing). Our ideal tutor is a middle-school teacher or strong college/graduate student, preferably with experience preparing students for BCA or other selective high-school entrance exams. Open to a mix of in-person sessions at our home (1–2 times per week) and online sessions (about once per week). Typical availability is weekdays between 4–6 p.m., with additional flexibility on weekends, and can adjust the schedule week by week.
