Meet Dr Aruna Turaga

Redmond Science Academy, Inc.

My name is Aruna Turaga. I have a PhD in Chemistry from Indian Institute of Science, Bangalore. I have tutored kids of all ages and adults in all branches of chemistry, math, physics for many years before embarking on a career in the corporate world. I am one of the most distinguished institutes in Redmond, WA, for teaching all branches of science to various age groups and helping them perform to their potential in many science competitions as well as in their chosen careers. I teach science enrichment classes from 4th to 8th grade with many hands-on experiments. I have started Science Olympiad on the East Side and regularly provide material and curriculum support to many middle and high schools in this area. My students have performed excellently at all levels and teams go to the National level on a regular basis. I teach high school Honors and AP classes for chemistry, biology and physics as well as Advanced algebra and precalculus. My students have shown great improvement in their grades while getting a better understanding of the underlying concepts. I offer science camps during the summer for elementary and middle schools with lots of fun experiments. These will introduce them to many foundational concepts in science with real world applications. Classes are both in-person as well as online so can be attended from anywhere. Summer camps for elementary students. Small group and personal tutoring available. After successfully managing an analytical laboratory in beautiful Seattle for six years, I have decided to return to my greatest passion, teaching. For me, there is nothing more rewarding than seeing kids excited about science or being proud of themselves for doing so well in a math competition. I have started a science club at Redmond Middle School and formed the first Science Olympiad team on the Eastside along with a team for National Science Bowl. Afterwards, I had helped parents from Evergreen Middle School to form similar teams.
