All children in Noah s Ark Preschool are engaged in a play-based proven curriculum called Beyond Centers and Circle Time, by Dr. Pam Phelps. This curriculum melds child development theories into children s work; which is their play. A day with Noah s Ark Preschool follows a natural flow that begins and ends with outside play. The flow of the day is a framework that gives structure and consistency to the routine but also gives sufficient space for the children to choose a play that meets their individual needs; alone time or group time, active or quiet play, needing assistance or striving for independence. Their play is centered on monthly themes that are close to experiences relevant to their worlds such as gardening, camping or family.
